Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour (240 grams)
2 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
½ cup cold grated butter
1 cup milk + more as needed (240 ml)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Cube your butter and freeze for 15 minutes. In a food processor, add in the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt, then pulse a few times to mix. When the butter is ready, place the butter into the food processor and pulse until a coarse mixture has formed, and the butter is in small pea sized pieces or smaller.

Grate the butter and place into the freezer for 15 minutes.
After the butter has chilled in the freezer, preheat the oven to 425 degrees F
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Then add in the butter straight from the freezer and use a fork or floured fingers to mix the butter into the flour mixture. Once the mixture has a coarse texture and the butter is in small pea sized chunks, the dough is ready.

Slowly add in the milk while mixing. Once the dough can pull from the sides of the bowl, and the mixture is dry but a little sticky, stop adding in the milk.
Scoop the mixture using two heaping tablespoon or a 3 tbsp cookie scoop onto a parchment lined baking tray. Place into the oven for 12-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Serve with butter, honey, jam, or anything else you like.
