Ingredients

  • 1 parbaked pie crust (above, page #)

  • 4 large eggs

  • ½ cup heavy cream (120 ml)

  • ½ cup milk (whole or 2%) (120 ml)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese

  • 1 cup diced ham

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  2. In a pan, sear your ham cubes so that they are browned. Set aside, pat dry, and let it cool down. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, ham, salt, black pepper, and gruyere cheese. Pour the mixture into the par-baked pie crust, then bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the filling has puffed and set (if the crust is getting too brown, tent the baking dish to prevent more coloration)

  3. Cool for 20 minutes before serving
