Ingredients
1 parbaked pie crust (above, page #)
4 large eggs
½ cup heavy cream (120 ml)
½ cup milk (whole or 2%) (120 ml)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
1 cup diced ham
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
In a pan, sear your ham cubes so that they are browned. Set aside, pat dry, and let it cool down. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, ham, salt, black pepper, and gruyere cheese. Pour the mixture into the par-baked pie crust, then bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the filling has puffed and set (if the crust is getting too brown, tent the baking dish to prevent more coloration)
Cool for 20 minutes before serving
